- KartRider: Drift will not feature any pay-to-win systems to create a fair

KartRider: Drift is the next generation version from the original franchise that has optimized, expanded, and constantly updated features for consoles + PC. While players of the original will of course recognize gameplay elements and several franchise icons, there will be plenty of new elements to discover as well, including new characters, skins, a roster of new karts, and more.

In KartRider: Drift, players will be able to express their personality through almost endless customization currently not available among competitor titles. This includes giving players the opportunity to personalize their characters with different skins, emotes and personalizing their karts to match their characters. KartRider: Drift also offers a wide variety of game modes enabling players to choose based on their preference. This includes the highly competitive Speed Mode, which strips away the RNG system, challenging players to truly master their racing skills and drifting techniques. There will also be constantly evolving seasonal updates introducing a wide breadth of content on an ongoing basis.

The amount of customisation available, even in a beta, was a joy to behold in Drift. Once you had chosen your character from a choice of three, each character then had different outfits they could wear. The karts themselves can also be customised, as each different kart allows the chance to change the wheels, all the panels and even the colour of the flame when the boost is activated. I’m guessing these things will be unlocked by racing and levelling up your character, as I made it to level 10 in this beta without anything noticeably changing, but the depth of the customisation looks like it will be awesome fun.

The graphics are also so joyful and cute! If you can remember back to when kids toy cars came with a driver behind the wheel, but it was only a big head that was stuck in place. Well, that’s essentially how most of the characters look in KartRider: Drift. The scenery and levels are very well animated and coloured, leaving each world with its own loveable and diverse sense of feeling. Sure, some do feel cartoonish in nature, but it’s done in such a creative way, that you’ll find yourself restarting the race on any one particular course, over and over, just to be able to drive through and experience it all again!
